Vector 3 launches two new versions of their flagship product, the VectorBox
VectorBox Virtual and VectorBoxIP are the new models Vector 3 has ready for the upcoming IBC 2017.
Vector 3, the original manufacturer of VectorBox -the first playout automation and video server based on COTS technology, will unveil two new models at the upcoming IBC 2017. With this new products launching, Vector 3 is moving forward providing options for the compressed and uncompressed environments and offering our customers the flexibility of choosing their best fitting option for their operational needs.
This VectorBox is an evolution of the client-server model where the server is located in the cloud. The experience for the operator is basically the same but the server containing the automation engine and the video server resides in the cloud. Video files and playlists are downloaded and operator can control the running playlist manually from the VectorBox client. The video and audio signal is delivered in H264 inside TS and packetized as RTP.
VECTORBOX IP ONLY
To fill the need of an all-IP uncompressed VectorBox, Vector 3 has released this model that can playout up to four channels with video, audio, graphics and effects. The output can be 2022-6 or 2110 coming out from a 10 Gb port. The functionality and features are the same as the VectorBox XL delivering a channel ready to air with all the branding and auxiliary events. There exists also a hybrid model that boasts 2 HSDI outputs and 2 IP.
